About Cryolipolysis or as some might say Fat Freezing

Click a question below for more information.
Cryolipolysis (fat freezing) is a non-invasive body contouring treatment which uses controlled cooling to selectively target and destroy fat cells, providing a safer alternative to liposuction surgery.
The cryolipolysis fat freezing procedure involves the controlled cooling of subcutaneous fat cells, without damaging any of the surrounding tissue. During a treatment, an anti-freeze membrane and cooling applicator are applied to the treatment area. The skin and adipose tissue is drawn into the applicator where controlled cooling is safely delivered to the targeted fat. The degree of exposure to cooling causes the controlled crystalization and subsequent death of the fat cells (apoptosis).
Once the treated fat cells are crystalized, they die and are naturally processed and eliminated by the body’s lymphatic system. Results can be seen as early as three weeks after the treatment, however the most dramatic results will be visible after four to twelve weeks.
Yes! Once the treated fat cells are gone, they are gone for good.
Treatment times are generally 40-45 minutes in duration per area, and result in a fat reduction of up to 30% in the treated area in just one session! At Cryosculpt, our machines now have the ability to treat 2 areas simultaneously, making full-body contouring fast and efficient.
You don’t need to make any special preparations. You can come in your work clothes, suit, whatever. Although you might be more comfortable in a button up shirt/blouse and loose trousers or track suit bottoms. Your modesty will be maintained with strategic placing of blankets and towels to keep you comfortable during the procedure
Absolutely not. You’ll feel a slight tugging as the applicator latches on to your skin with a slight vacumn. One attached, you’ll feel a cooling sensation on the area for the first few minutes. And that’s pretty much it!
One treatment will certainly yield results. However, in most cases, 1-3 treatments are needed to achieve the desired results. At Cryosculpt we have the newest 360* applicators which treat a larger area more efficiently and so give better results
The Cryosculpt fat freezing procedure can be used to safely reduce unwanted fat from all major areas, including the abdomen, flanks, love handles, bra-bulges, back fat, inner and outer thighs and buttocks.
Yes! Cryosculpt offer mini applicators for the double chin area. The applicator’s unique shape, size and curvature make it ideal for reaching small accumulations of fat, such as the chin, knees and underarms.
Cryosculpt fat freezing is a very safe, non-invasive procedure. The technology for cryolipolysis has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and can be used to safely treat all major areas, including the abdomen, flanks, love handles, bra-bulges, back fat, inner and outer thighs and buttocks. Our machines are all ISO and CE certified and our staff have all received the necessary training and certification to carry out the procedure.
During the treatment, we ensure you are comfortable, so you can read, watch a movie, answer emails etc. You can return to your normal activities immediately after, whether it’s work, gym, or whatever takes your fancy . Some redness, swelling or bruising may appear in the treated area. These effects are temporary and generally resolve within a few days or weeks.
The cryolipolysis fat freezing procedure is non-invasive and non-surgical, and provides a safer alternative to liposuction surgery. There are no incisions, no recovery time and no need for anaesthesia.

Liposuction is a surgical procedure and can result in irregular contours or asymmetries, fluid accumulation, rippling or loose skin, scar tissue and poor wound healing. Full healing and final results are expected after 9-12 months.
